Karl Urban on Star Trek
TVGuide.com spoke briefly to actor Karl Urban, who plays Dr. Leonard McCoy in J.J. Abram's upcoming Star Trek. He tells the publication:
"The movie is very, very faithful to the spirit of the original series and the characters that were created in the '60s." For example, Urban's Bones "is the lovable, irascible humanist that he has always been [and] a good friend of Jim Kirk." That said, he believes "J.J. is going to reinvigorate this franchise in a fresh and exciting way."
When asked about the storyline, Urban said that he is not allowed to say anything.
Star Trek arrives in theatres on December 25th.
Emmy Rossum Talks Dragonball
Dragonball hits the blogs:
Actress Emmy Rossum has shared some of her thoughts on the new Dragonball movie.
"Sorry I've been rather quiet for a bit, I've been working on a very exciting new film that I'm shooting outside the US. I'm working with the great Chow Yun Fat and I'm very excited about the role, which is so different than any role I've ever played. I love the character and I'm excited to get to share something so fun with you. In prep for the film I've been training very hard, learning how to fight, fire a gun, weapons training and even some martial arts. It's fun to play such a different character when I am such a pacifist in real life."
Dragonball opens on August 15 and stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung alongside Rossum and Yun-Fat.

David Letterman and Craig Ferguson Returning to Late Night
The WGA and David Letterman's Worldwide Pants have reached an agreement that will allow Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to return to the air next week with their writers, according to Variety.
Letterman-produced CBS shows will return Wednesday, the same day Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel get back to work -- without their writers!
The WGA released the following statement:
"The Writers Guild has reached a binding independent agreement today with Worldwide Pants that will allow Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to return to the air with their full writing staffs. This is a comprehensive agreement that addresses the issues important to writers, particularly New Media. Worldwide Pants has accepted the very same proposals that the Guild was prepared to present to the media conglomerates when they walked out of negotiations on December 7.
Today's agreement dramatically illustrates that the Writers Guild wants to put people back to work, and that when a company comes to the table prepared to negotiate seriously a fair and reasonable deal can be reached quickly.
It's time for NBC-Universal to step up to the plate and negotiate a company-wide deal that will put Jay Leno, who has supported our cause from the beginning, back on the air with his writers."

Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Not Be in Terminator 4!
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins producer Moritz Borman told Empire Magazine that Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be in the fourth installment of the franchise, according to The Sun. The movie takes place before the famous fighting machine has been built.
"We're keeping the script under very tight security" Borman said, adding "And one of the reasons is that we have a huge twist at the end, which we're being careful not to reveal. Like with the last Terminator -- we kept that under tight wraps so not even the crew got the last six or seven pages. I can tell you this much -- this is the story everybody has been waiting for. Namely, we're in the future. The part of it where Arnold's character has not yet been built but is on the drawing board. And in the next two episodes we'll get to the point where time-travel is more in the foreground. It's the war against the machines, the start of Skynet taking over the world."
Borman hinted that Californian governor Schwarzenegger could be featured in two subsequent movies and commented that He knows the material and is very supportive of what we're doing. There might even be hints of his character in this one."
Borman refused to be drawn on rumors that Christian Bale is set to play John Connor and added "Everyone is assuming there is a John Connor and a Terminator in the script. Connor is in there along with another figure, but who is that figure?"
